10 Wrestling Matches You Won't Believe Happened In 2019

Less 'Won't believe happened' and more 'Can't believe happened', the sight of Jeff Jarrett working a WWE match (!) in 2019 (!) was batsh*t enough. That this ate up precious WrestleMania build time was bizarre, but hey, it's not as if RAW isn't three hours bastard long.

Jarrett held Vince McMahon up for more money than he was owed to drop the Intercontinental Title to Chyna at No Mercy 1999. He subsequently spent most of his career daring to compete with the emperor, and it hardly mattered that TNA was a more inexplicable joke than anything Tim Heidecker has ever cracked. He still tried to compete, goddamnit.

Vince's stance softened over the years, as he realised 'Sh*t, we're running out of stars to induct into the Hall of Fame since I can't make them anymore,' and so Double J was inducted and welcomed back into the fold in a Producer capacity. Helpfully, Jeff Jarrett used to carry a guitar with him, and because Elias does the same thing now, and Vince is incredibly easily pleased, this visual gag informed the opening of the 2019 Royal Rumble and a short TV feud thereafter.

There wasn't much to it, really, beyond the sobering, terrifying realisation that the part-time, 52 year-old nostalgia act and career midcarder threw the best worked punch in the entire company.
