10 Wrestling Matches You Won't Believe Happened In 2020
8. Women's Elimination Chamber (WWE Elimination Chamber)
A divisive and at times misunderstood monstering, Shayna Baszler's dominance of the Raw Women's Division in February's Elimination Chamber was as rational as it was ridiculous. The former MMA star was relatively fresh off a legendary NXT Women's Championship reign and had beaten Becky Lynch and Bayley the prior November to stake a claim for one of their titles at WrestleMania.
This would have been tied up with a Royal Rumble win, but WWE's (failed) decision to use Charlotte as an NXT ratings pull resulted in 'The Queen' getting to point at the sigh instead. More than just a mauling then, this was a makegood. But what a makegood!
Never booked as well after this very moment, 'The Queen Of Spades' was levels above her opposition, despite game efforts in particular from Asuka and Liv Morgan to stave off the inevitable. Baszler had to form one half of what was, in the old normal, a dream match with Becky Lynch. It was worth shocking the sh*t out of the crowd that night - it'd prove to be the last time this year she'd wrestle in front of an audience for the rest of the year.
