10 Wrestling Moments That Should Have Been Huge (But Weren't)

4. Bad Charlotte

There's always time to fix Bayley for an audience that still desperately wants to see her reach her fullest potential and live her dream as a WWE superstar. 2017 has been rough on 'The Hugger', with her first Women's Title win having a domino effect on her entire WrestleMania build-up and character's dreadful post-'Show Of Shows' trajectory.

When the company elected to have her pin Charlotte on Raw just weeks out from their planned Payback clash, most assumed this rushed call was merely a device to build heat for a WrestleMania rematch following Flair's retention. Though hardly successful, the hotshot model had worked to an extent with Sasha Banks. The pair had engaged in several fabulous matches, with Charlotte inadvertently amassing an impressive unblemished supercard record.

On the night, hero Bayley inexplicably pinned Charlotte again. With illegal help from Sasha Banks, no less. The beloved former NXT Women's Champion went into WrestleMania with WWE's top strap and a strong odour of undeserved assuredness. No chase, no earned glory, and a win record unnecessarily dismantled.
