10 Wrestling Moves That BLEW YOUR MIND The First Time You Saw Them

7. Kenny Omega's V-Trigger

Kenny Omega's video game-inspired psychology is entirely unique and ingenious.

He grasps the core element of what wrestling is and what it will always remain as - athletic theatre building to a jaw-dropping crescendo of excitement - by reimagining it in his own vision. He doesn't so much work a body part but treats the opponent as if an energy bar hovers above them, spamming his sensational V-Trigger to plunge it into the red.

The V-Trigger is an extraordinary feat of working precision. It looks so much like he has just concussed his opponent because it's not just a stiff, sharp knee aimed flush in the skull. He accelerates into it with an inimitable propulsion. It's a thrilling, utterly believable move timed to perfection with an unfathomable error margin. It is as impossible as it is beautiful.

Omega's sleight of hand just adds to its brilliance because the V-Trigger sounds as harrowing as it looks. The thud of the impact sounds so little like a thigh slap - a slap that is not detectable at all - that you are left with the impression that he has just struck somebody full-force in the mush with a power-generating run up. And yet, there are no black eyes, no concussions.

Because he's the greatest worker to ever do it.
