10 Wrestling Performances That Proved People Wrong
5. Braun Strowman - Vs. Roman Reigns, Great Balls Of Fire 2017
For an event that is often seen as something of an afterthought in the land of WWE, Fastlane has actually housed some out-and-out bangers over the years. And in the case of this next entry, it provided the backdrop for one star's coming out party.
Following on from being given the chance to spread his wings as a singles star, Braun Strowman enjoyed a bit of buzz after battering James Ellsworth and Sami Zayn. But many still weren't convinced the star had it in him to put it all together to form part of an acclaimed contest.
Once Strowman eventually got these hands on The Big Dog at Fastlane in 2017, though, his potential as a crowd-popping force of nature was finally realised. The Monster Among Men's ability to ragdoll the unwanted face made him a cult hero of sorts and teased the creation of a new bona fide star at the top of the card. Sure, it would all go t*ts up in the end, but for a moment, this soaring giant showed that he could absolutely deliver the chaotic goods.
