In January 2012 The Ultimate Warrior replied to a fan on Twitter asking him why he didn't dye his hair and come back to the WWE like Kevin Nash had recently done. Warrior quipped that it was because 'Im not a d***head who thrives on stealing the limelight from young guys'. Big Daddy Cool was furious over this and took to Twitter to shoot on the man from Parts Unknown. Not only did he call Warrior a c**t but he also suggested that the two men have an MMA match to settle the score once and for all. Nash tweeted:
Never realized I had a problem with Jim (Warrior). Seemed to get along fine in Scottsdale. Come on my clown, turn that frown upside down. A true warrior never turns down a challenge. Put up a 100K. Ill do the same. 3 rounds. mma rules. winner take all. Im talking shoot, not sports entertainment. Jim Hellwig needs to put up or shut the f*** up. Day before Mania in Miami area. Warrior will have to pass all hiv and hep a b and c tests. Ill do the same.
The idea that Nash or Warrior would ever compete in a shoot fight in 2012 was laughable. Warrior responded to the challenge in a video blog where he rightfully dismissed the idea as ludicrous. When asked about Warrior's video answer Nash replied that he thought he was 'listening to the vagina monologues' and that was the end of it. The two men buried the hatchet during the Hall of Fame ceremony in March 2014, just days before Warrior passed away.
