10 WWE & AEW Wrestlers Set For A Big 2022
1. Windham Rotunda
On 31 July 2021, WWE shocked the world by releasing Bray Wyatt.
Widely considered as one of the most creative minds in the business, Windham Rotunda (the man behind The Fiend mask) seemed like a WWE lifer. Despite his incredible promo delivery and character work, the WWE ran not one, but two iterations of a fascinating character into the ground.
Take the Firefly Fun House as an example. What started off as a clear coping mechanism for a dangerous and fractured mind, ending becoming a literal room in a building that Seth Rollins burnt to the ground. The Fiend, a personification of Wyatt's damaged and vengeful psyche became a fried testicle who fell in love with jailbait.
Since leaving the WWE, Windham has posted a cryptic image of a potential new mask and recently stated that he couldn't wait to share his thoughts on his WWE run and how they bastardised his creation at Hell In A Cell 2019.
Where he turns up is anyone's guess, with the rumours indicating he will likely join AEW, where he doesn't seem like the ideal fit. But wherever he does go, his loyal and vocal fanbase will no doubt follow.
We are waiting with bated breath for his next move, and it's not hard to imagine that Windham will be one of the most talked-about wrestlers of 2022.
