2. Bryan Danielson
Seeing Bryan Danielson toiling away in AEW's midcard just feels wrong.
We know Danielson is on the back-end of his career, and that the man himself has said he is happy working down the mines with the less-luminous members of AEW's talent roster. But seeing Bryan return to him hometown to wrestle Tony Nese - a fine wrestler, but not exactly a household name - makes us feel like AEW are missing the boat with the former American Dragon.
Danielson may be enjoying his less-stressful run in the midcard, but Tony Kahn needs to take a page out of JFK's book and tell Bryan to ask not what AEW can do for him, but what he can do for AEW. Any wrestling promotion on the planet would be better off with Bryan at the top of the card, and Kahn's company is no exception.
Expectation is the price paid for greatness, and Kahn needs to give Bryan Danielson the platform to deliver on wrestling fans' expectations before the clock runs out on the latter's career.
