10 WWE Announcements That Fell Flat
2. Celebrity Hosts
If there's one thing we've learnt from this list it's that wrestling fans don't really care very much about celebrities.
But WWE didn't get this memo in 2009, when they announced that Monday Night Raw would be hosted by a series of A-listers (plus Sharon Osbourne) for the foreseeable future, an initiative apparently conceived by Donald Trump originally - which ought to tell you all you need to know about its merits.
On paper, this was supposed to be a ratings winner, but it was largely greeted with indifference from the audience, most of whom would have preferred a permanent General Manager to tired comedy skits involving Santino Marella and celebrities mis-remembering the names of the wrestlers whose matches they were supposed to be scheduling.
