10 WWE Anomalies (That Were Super Weird)

1. Heidenreich Gets Intimate With Michael Cole

Shout out to a buddy, 'Hey, remember that time Michael Cole was borderline raped on WWE television?', and it's likely you'll be met with some pretty unique looks from those passing by. Much like many of the entries listed in this article, it's hard to imagine what the company were trying to achieve by booking it, other than outright shock value.

It seems that turning heads was all the writers were looking for, because why else would they write and produce an entire segment dedicated to the idea that Heidenreich - someone the promotion had high hopes for - was holding announcer Michael Cole up against a wall, grunting into his ear and letting him know that he had him exactly where he wanted him?

In 2004, the rules for what WWE could get away with on TV were quite different to what they are now, but who wanted to see this? In fact, going even further, just how was this supposed to make fans take Heidenreich seriously as a main event level threat to the likes of The Undertaker?
