10 WWE Babyfaces You Forget Were Awesome Heels

9. Owen Hart

Everyone in wrestling remembers Owen Hart incredibly fondly. In a list of greatest wrestling tragedies, Owen Hart's untimely death is always #1, as it should be. What many people forget however, is how good Owen was at playing the awful, bratty, entitled little brother of the Hart family. Owen engaged in a months long feud with his brother Bret that lasted from Survivor Series 1993 through Royal Rumble 1995. Two of the most famous instances in this feud were when Owen first turned on Bret and "kicked leg out of his leg" and also, in perhaps Owen's biggest win of his career, he defeated his brother at WrestleMania X. During his feud with Bret, he won the King of the Ring tournament, and dubbed himself "The King of Harts". Later in his career, he'd be known as the Two-Time Slammy Award Winner, but neither of those awards were actually his. The first award "Squared Circle Shocker of the Year" went to Shawn Michaels collapsing, which Owen accepted for making it happen. A year later, he presented and accepted the award for Best Bow Tie, which he wasn't even nominated for. While outside of the ring, Owen Hart was beloved by fans and peers alike, inside the ring he was at his best as the annoying scrappy little nuisance, and he deserves to be remembered for just how good he was at playing against type.
