Whilst Jordan convalesces, an enraged Kurt Angle demands answers from Samoa Joe, but the 'Destroyer' refuses to comment, instead continuing to bulldoze through babyfaces in a manner in keeping with his dangerously dominant runs in Ring of Honor, TNA and NXT.

Increasingly frustrated with Joe's defiance and disobedience as well as unable to tether his emotional investment to the 'Samoan Submission Machine's attacks, the General Manager demands an in-ring face-off with Joe to allow the former NXT Champion one final opportunity to explain his actions.

Joe flatly refuses, providing nothing but an intense stare, and feigns leaving before viciously assaulting Angle from behind. Decking the Olympic Gold Medallist before he can possibly refocus and counter, Joe brutalises Kurt with a steel chair and locks his unconscious frame in the Coquina Clutch as Monday Night Raw goes off the air.

The following week, it's announced that Angle is now recovering from his own injuries, and will crushingly miss his first WrestleMania as Raw General Manager. It's this week that Joe finally breaks his silence, admitting he took cruel pleasure in not only taking away Jordan's opportunity to follow in his father's footsteps, but also Kurt's own dreams of returning to the 'Show of Shows' for the first time in nearly 15 years.

Cockily strolling through another match the following week, Joe is shockingly jumped by a returning Jordan, who challenges him to a blockbuster WrestleMania clash in an effort to earn a moment of vindication that his father sadly cannot.
