2. Slaying The Beast

Dishevelled and out for revenge, Jordan returns from the Lesnar beatdown one week later to advise that the injuries to his father were more serious than first thought, potentially shelving Kurt for six months.

A gleeful Triple H then makes his way to ringside, noting how he knew he'd just have to wait for Angle to cost himself the General Manager role, rather than requiring any more nudging from 'The Game'. He aggressively assumes control of Monday Night Raw, and - still showing bitterness from his April defeat to the Angle family - notes that Jordan won't be 'receiving the type of opportunities he used to get from his dad' anymore.

But Jordan has an ace up his sleeve. He reminds Hunter that as the match didn't start last week, he actually still has possession of the Money In The Bank briefcase and its enclosed golden ticket. He books himself in the SummerSlam main event against Brock with the shot, knowing it could be his last under the tyrannical new regime.

In an energetic brawl, Jordan at long last ends the mammoth reign of 'The Beast', toppling Brock in an evocative main event largely free from shenanigans. First falling back on their amateur backgrounds, the match turns when Brock tries to employ his power game instead, allowing Jordan to tire him out and eventually score the heroic fall.

It was later than he'd planned, but Jason Jordan is Universal Champion.
