10 WWE Champions You Never Thought You'd See

Rob Van Dam is another former WWE Champion who never really fit WWE's key values, not only as a main eventer, but simply as a model example for a top face of the company. The Attitude era notwithstanding, WWE had always prided itself on being a business with a squeaky clean image. Meanwhile, RVD's entire character was that he loved to smoke reefer.

Despite the non-PG approach of the man, The Whole F'n Show still became a whole f'n champion. Much of this had to do with the fact that WWE wanted to bring back ECW with RVD as the face behind the revival. To push the revitalized brand hard, Van Dam was booked to have a reign as a double champion. He won both the newly revived ECW Championship and the monumental WWE Championship.

Unfortunately for both WWE and Mr. Monday Night, he and Sabu got pulled over and arrested a month later with weed in his car. Unsurprisingly, RVD dropped both titles immediately and went away to serve his suspension.
