10 WWE Comedy Characters That Somehow Didn't SUCK
9. Damien Sandow
Damien Sandow had been in and out of the WWE system for years before finally making his way up to the main roster as the ‘Intellectual Savior of the Masses’ in 2012. The arrogant and pompous braggart would run down the audience in a manner that was as annoying as it was captivating, which made him a popular figure within the company over the next year.
He would win the Money in the Bank ladder match and his cache with the fans would continue to grow, using his superiority complex to great comedic effect. Alas, he would not cash in the opportunity successfully and would descend back down the card despite his undeniable link to the audience through how entertaining he had been in the role that was perhaps too comical for its own good.
Sandow continued to become an even more comedically driven figure when he began impersonating famous characters and WWE legends before ending up as The Miz’s stunt double. Of Course, Mizdow managed to get the gimmick over to a far greater level than many others would’ve, which was a testament to how great of a comedic performer he is.
