10 WWE Comedy Characters That Somehow Didn't SUCK
4. Bobby Heenan
Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan could pop any wrestling fan with his one-liners whilst also retaining his detestable streak, which made him one of the best and most important performers during WWE's Golden Era. He was involved in some of the best storylines of the time and was also associated with some of its biggest stars, most notably Andre the Giant, King Kong Bundy, and Rick Rude.
'The Weasel' was just as good behind a commentary table, expertly bouncing off his long-time partner Gorilla Monsoon, which would form one of the most entertaining pairings in wrestling history. Heenan would often goad the WWE audience he would refer to as 'humanoids' without resorting to cheap heat as he was far too funny to simply run down the town's failing sports team.
Heenan's wit and comedic timing were second to none and allowed him to find success as a performer outside of the ring like no other during WWE's first boom period. There will never be another performer like 'The Brain' despite every new color commentator clearly wanting to emulate Heenan's unique brand of humor.
