10 WWE Comedy Characters That Somehow Didn't SUCK
2. Mick Foley
Mick Foley has an endearing personality that translates across his many wrestling characters, whether it be as the goofy commissioner of Raw or the over-the-top Dude Love, he has been involved in some all-time great funny WWE moments.
He first appeared in the promotion as the foreboding Mankind, the chosen monster of Paul Bearer to rival his son, The Undertaker. After a couple of years of the maniacal heel character, Foley shifted into a more comedic role as 'Dude Love' a wonderful juxtaposition that would form part of the iconic 'Three faces of Foley.'
Between the grooviness of Dude Love and a more subdued and self-deprecating version of Mankind, Foley managed to channel his humorous side to become a star on the level of The Rock and Steve Austin at the height of the Attitude Era. His relationship and eventual feud with the boss Vince McMahon made for some great television, with Foley's first WWE Championship win being one amazing example of this.
Even in his later roles, 'Mrs. Foley's Baby Boy' always provided some comedic value to the WWE product, with his work alongside Edge, Christian, and Kurt Angle being particularly special. Mick Foley has always come across as a loveable figure who could pop the crowd like a true pro, which the 'Hardcore Legend' has also demonstrated in his best-selling series of autobiographies.
