10 WWE Disasters That Became Life-Changing Moments

1. Mustafa Ali’s Injury Creates “KofiMania”

You've got to feel for Mustafa Ali.

Now, nobody's suggesting that he would've beaten Daniel Bryan for the WWE Title at WrestleMania 35 instead, but Ali's injury right before Elimination Chamber 2019 was brutal timing for the man. He had to pull out of the match, then watch as Kofi Kingston replaced him and produced absolute scenes.

Kofi captured the hearts and minds of fans all over again, started talking about "KofiMania", and WWE's power players were left with no choice but to book him vs. Bryan on the biggest card of the year. Vince McMahon went all the way with it too, and had Kingston win the belt on that pay-per-view.

The boss wouldn't have pushed Kofi into such a lofty spot had Mustafa been healthy. In fact, "KofiMania" wouldn't have happened at all. Neither, mind you, would anything resembling "AliMania". It's hard to imagine Mustafa would've pushed his way into main events that quickly.

Still a disaster for him though, and a life-changing moment for Kingston.
