Zayn's Bloodline adventure doesn't happen without Roman creating the need for that group though. According to Paul Heyman in recent media interviews, Reigns was sick and tired of WWE's booking following the 6 December 2019 edition of SmackDown, and the rotten dog food finish they scripted involving King Corbin and Dolph Ziggler.

Change was needed, and Roman fancied seizing more control of his destiny. He disappeared from screens amidst COVID fears before 'Mania 36, but bounced back onto TV with a memorable comeback at SummerSlam approx four months later. The 'Tribal Chief' was born, people. Acknowledge him, and all that.

The disastrous dog food sh*te stirred something in Reigns. He'd had more than enough of WWE's force fed rubbish, and enjoyed the idea of controlling his own affairs. Since then, he's grown in stature to become one million times more effective than he ever was as an unlikable, challenging-to-book babyface people palmed off.

Life. Changing.
