10 WWE Exiles That Need To Return In 2015

8. Jake €˜The Snake€™ Roberts

The man whom many fans consider to be the finest ring psychologist of all time, Jake Roberts was one of the most effective heels that pro wrestling ever saw, as well as a WWE legend and a man who continues to draw well on indie shows around the world. Jake€™s well-documented battles with illness, alcoholism and drug abuse have ensured that he is still talked about in wrestling circles today and his positive recovery and borderline-miraculous physical rehabilitation (at the hands of Diamond Dallas Page€™s DDP Yoga initiative) are just the sort of PR antidote that WWE can use to combat the negative drink/drugs/steroids stories that still blight the company to this day. Of course, Roberts, who€™s best days were firmly behind him by the mid 1990€™s, probably wouldn€™t convince for very long as an in-ring performer, but as a manager, Jake €˜The Snake€™ could easily become the best in the biz. With his heat getting abilities, masterful ring psychology and total commitment to character, Jake Roberts could become the new €˜Classy€™ Freddie Blassie. Picture Jake in a snakeskin suit, standing at ringside, ready to pull Damian out at any moment and interfere in the match. Quite simply, this NEEDS to be done. Jake€™s first client? €˜The Viper€™ Randy Orton, of course. It€™s a marriage made in hell...

I am a professional author and lifelong comic books/pro wrestling fan. I also work as a journalist as well as writing comic books (I also draw), screenplays, stage plays, songs and prose fiction. I don't generally read or reply to comments here on What Culture (too many trolls!), but if you follow my Twitter (@heyquicksilver), I'll talk to you all day long! If you are interested in reading more of my stuff, you can find it on http://quicksilverstories.weebly.com/ (my personal site, which has other wrestling/comics/pop culture stuff on it). I also write for FLiCK http://www.flickonline.co.uk/flicktion, which is the best place to read my fiction work. Oh yeah - I'm about to become a Dad for the first time, so if my stuff seems more sentimental than usual - blame it on that! Finally, I sincerely appreciate every single read I get. So if you're reading this, thank you, you've made me feel like Shakespeare for a day! (see what I mean?) Latcho Drom, - CQ
