10 WWE Fan Reactions That Had A Serious Effect On A Wrestler

Who knew one word could ruin promos forever.

Though it often feels like we as fans have little to no impact on what is presented to us on weekly WWE programming, it does bare remembering that when a crowd's voices unite they do sometimes possess the power to seriously affect the performer stood inside of the squared circle... and the plans the company had for them.

Vince McMahon may not enjoy seeing his ideas derailed by a rebellious crowd or watching his big names crack under the pressure of an unforeseen response, but it sure does make for some exciting television.

It's not all boos and jeers, however, as sometimes a crowd can change a wrestler's life for the better by rallying behind an under-utilised star they want to see pushed to the moon or by inadvertently giving a performer a new catchphrase which then leads to a nice big increase in merchandise income for said talent.

Your voices can be extremely powerful, wrestling fans and don't you forget it.

It's safe to say that none of the stars involved in any of these following situations ever will... so give yourselves a pat on the back, I guess.

10. 'Daniel Bryan!' Chants Reign Supreme (2013)

Back in 2013, WWE thought it would be a marvellous idea to hold a 'Champions Ascension Ceremony' to build towards World Heavyweight Champion John Cena and WWE Champion Randy Orton's impending TLC world title unification match.

This ceremony involved WWE stuffing a bunch of former World Champions into a ring to witness the two titles being lifted high above them. However, this proved to be a titanic mistake as soon as the segment eventually got underway.

Triple H was trying his very best to sell the magnitude of the upcoming clash, but the WWE Universe were having none of it and instead chose to focus their attention on the star they wanted to see in the main event. Daniel Bryan.

Bryan could be seen uncontrollably smiling/giggling in the background as the crowd completely hijacked the segment, defiantly chanting 'DANIEL BRYAN!' and 'YES!' Mark Henry even took it upon himself to raise the 'American Dragon's arm to the approval of everyone in the arena - Trips and Stephanie McMahon aside.

This brief moment of unfiltered crowd appreciation not only caught 'The Game' off guard on the night, but it also foreshadowed the fans eventually forcing Vince McMahon into shoehorning Bryan into the WrestleMania XXX main event just a few months later.

Unquestionably, this unexpected reaction seriously affected both the leader of The Authority on that episode of Raw and Bryan's legendary career going forward.
