10 WWE Feuds That Spanned Multiple Pay-Per-Views

1. Batista vs The Undertaker (2007)

A remarkable case of fate, timing and chemistry, the phenomenon of 2007's Undertaker vs Batista programme still seems unbelievable.

Off the back of a disappointing 2006 for both men, a 'title vs streak' match at Wrestlemania 23 lacked the punch of other Main Events in the run up to the 'Grandaddy of 'em All'.

Aware of the tempered expectations on the match (which was positioned insultingly low down the card for further hints), the two giants made it their aim to prove everybody wrong, and how.

Unarguably stealing the show from co-main events featuring Shawn Michaels, John Cena, Vince McMahon and Donald Trump, the behemoths tore the house down as Undertaker notched his fifteenth Wrestlemania win and Dave Batista entered in the performance of his career.

Their chemistry travelled with them to Backlash for an amazing rematch, and would carry through to Cyber Sunday and the Survivor Series after injuries parted their paths in the middle of the year.

Batista and Undertaker owned every show they worked together on, even starting AND ending 2008's Smackdown Elimination Chamber. Their matches drastically raised the bar for guys their size, and aided in reinventing both wrestlers for years to come as monsters to suit the more discerning fan.
