10 WWE Feuds You Didn't Realise Were Shockingly One-Sided
2. Steve Austin Vs. The Rock
Steve Austin 20-3 The Rock.
If you've ever wondered who WWE saw at the face of the company in the Attitude Era, there's your answer.
Whoever you prefer, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and The Rock spent most of their careers on opposite sides of WWE's wonderful wrestling world.
First, Austin was teaming with The Undertaker and competing for the World Tag Team Championship while Rocky was in the Nation of Domination. Then "Stone Cold" was in the feud of the century against Vince McMahon, just as Rocky Maivia sold his soul and became the corporate champion. By the time the future Hollywood star was a face, injuries had caught up with Steve and he was out the door for almost a year.
When he finally came back, the two were kept apart until they were thrown together in the main event of the greatest WrestleMania ever. Like two years earlier and in so many tag team matches before, it was Austin who won.
Now it was time for The Rock to leave. He went off to Hollywood and Austin turned heel, then joined the WCW/ECW Alliance. Finally, Dwayne Johnson got his first pinfall victory over Steve at Survivor Series 2001 to kill off one of wrestling's biggest missteps. The Rock won their last match at WrestleMania XIX too.
Some of you won't like this, but the Austin-Rock feud was so one-sided because "Stone Cold" was always the biggest star of the era. Sorry.
