10 WWE Hall Of Fame 2017 Inductions That Must Happen
3. The Posthumous Induction - Davey Boy Smith
It's surprising that Davey Boy Smith hasn't already made it into the Hall of Fame, but with WWE's recent expansion into the UK, the British Bulldog's induction couldn't be more timely. The United Kingdom Championship is set to kick-off in January, and with the UK independent scene more popular than ever, it's time to get a Brit into the HOF.
Strength, speed, stamina, technique: Smith had it all. He was both a tremendous heel and a believable babyface, and in his prime, he could always be relied-on to put on a good show. From working as one half of the British Bulldogs to going solo in the '90s, Bulldog was a huge star, and while some consider him the best wrestler to never be WWE Champion, Smith had more than his fair share accomplishments. A former Tag Team, Intercontinental, European, and Hardcore champion, his legacy is undeniable.
From winning the Intercontinental Title at a packed-out Wembley Stadium in 1992 to becoming the first ever European Champ in 1997, Bulldog was at the heart of some truly iconic moments. Sure, he had his troubles, and Smith hit a visible decline in his later years, but he's the most important British wrestler in history. He should become a Hall of Famer in 2017, and Bret Hart, his brother-in-law, should be the man to induct him.
