10 WWE Heels You Most Want To Punch In The Face
8. Edge
The Ultimate Opportunist and Rated R Superstar had a lot of tools at his disposal when it came to drawing heat from the WWE audience. First, there were his cowardly ways of capturing gold, using the Money in the Bank contract twice to prey on battered foes, and his cowardly ways of defending his titles, which often included intentionally getting disqualified to avoid taking a loss. But those were just good strategy, right? Edge was the Ultimate Opportunist, right?
But once Edge's real-life affair with Lita and betrayal of longtime friend Matt Hardy became public knowledge, the heat turned way up. There was an inherent injustice to the whole situation, because not only had Matt been the wronged party in the love triangle, but he was also fired for discussing the affair online. When Matt was rehired to settle the matter in the ring, Edge beat Hardy, bloodying him in the process, and denying fans the vengeance they craved. Justice was dragged even further through the mud when Edge beat Hardy in a "Loser Leaves RAW" match. Fans who wanted Edge to finally face the consequences of his actions were denied, and even worse, Edge became champion soon after.
