10 WWE Icons Who Had Totally Forgettable TNA Runs

3. The Road Warriors

It's no exaggeration to call The Road Warriors one of the most popular tag teams of all time. Be it as WCW's most popular tag team of the 1980's or when they joined WWE as Legion Of Doom, Hawk and Animal were over like rover due to their iconic moves, promos, and catchphrases.

After some horribly on-the-nose booking surrounding Hawk's real-life struggles with alcohol addiction marred their second spell in WWE, The Road Warriors did various small stints on the independent circuit and in Japan, before appearing in TNA in 2002. Arriving to the trademark "Road Warriors pop", Animal and Hawk broke up a match that had spun out of control between the Harris brothers and America's Most Wanted to a riotous reception.

You'd have to be a monster to not enjoy Animal and Hawk hitting the Doomsday Device one more time and seeing the crowd legitimately lose their minds at the spontaneity of these legends turning up and cleaning house out of nowhere. Unfortunately, The Road Warriors would only appear together once more in TNA, as part of an Eight-Man Tag Team match alongside Dusty Rhodes and Jeff Jarrett to face Vince Russo and Triple X on January 15th 2003 (though Animal would have one more match for the company in 2007, tagging with Rick Steiner in a loss to Team 3D after Hawk passed away in October, 2003).
