"I gotta' be honest with ya, I'm disappointed".

Those were Chris Jericho's own words as he stood bickering on the stage with Road Dogg at SummerSlam 1999. His frustration wasn't misplaced. A little under two weeks before SummerSlam 1999, Y2J had burst onto the scene with a poodle hairdo amidst much fanfare, and pouted as The Rock tore through his act. It was a debut moment Jericho would come to view as a slight disappointment, but it was still noteworthy.

At SummerSlam, Jericho's only job was to interrupt Road Dogg and kill some pay-per-view time before Al Snow vs. Big Boss Man for the Hardcore Title took over. That was it. No match, no killer intrusion on the main event scene and no direction. Jericho meekly ranted about Raw being a "snore" and called SummerSlam "SummerSham" before Dogg told him to "Suck It".

His segment lasted a few short minutes, didn't lead to anything of any worth and should have taken place on Raw instead. The first time an incoming WCW star like Jericho was on WWF pay-per-view, it should've been in a major spot, not a forgettable promo.
