There's even a place for beloved super worker Randy Savage on this list, and (again) he's another who isn't fully to blame. Long before WrestleMania IV's aforementioned 14-man tournament, the WWF ran another 16-man tourney called The Wrestling Classic in 1985.

It was anything but a classic.

Savage wrestled four times that night, beating Ivan Putski, Ricky Steamboat, The Dynamite Kid before dropping to The Junkyard Dog at the final hurdle. All of those men were fine performers in their own right, and the matches could've been more significant had 15 matches not been scheduled. Due to those time constraints, Randy couldn't show how gifted an in-ring talent he was.

This was a chance for Savage to prove himself at the highest level, but he was limited to 21 minutes of ring time across his quartet of bouts. Bizarrely, he and future 'Mania III dance partner Steamboat were only handed four measly minutes in the Quarter Finals.
