10 WWE Legends Who Should Get The "Last Ride" Treatment Next
2. Ric Flair
This can only be a matter of time. Ric Flair is 71 years old, and while he’s still in good nick, an incorrigible rogue whose penchant for the high life is intact, it is imperative that WWE gives him the long form documentary treatment while he’s still with us.
There is nothing Flair hasn’t done, nowhere he hasn’t been, nothing he hasn’t won. An astonishing 40 year in-ring career - some years better than others - has taken him across the world, where he’s made friends and enemies alike. There would be no shortage of talking heads for a Flair documentary.
What’s more, he’s an endlessly engaging interview subject. We’ve seen him play the charming anecdotalist in the Andre The Giant documentary, regaling us with tales of the two carousing together; more recently in the Ruthless Aggression series we’ve seen him speak honestly about his shattered confidence as a performer in the early ‘00s.
Ric Flair is a performer and a storyteller, in the ring and out. His career neatly divides itself up - the early days, the NWA, WCW, and so forth - it can only be so long before this becomes a reality, but it can’t come soon enough.
