10 WWE Legends Who Should Have Retired At WrestleMania
1. The Undertaker (vs Brock Lesnar) WrestleMania 30
Undertaker's WrestleMania streak was one of the most important storylines going into the event every year, particularly in the late 2000s when he evolved into an all-time great in-ring performer. His legendary matches against the likes of Edge, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, and CM Punk made the streak seem like the most important thing in all of wrestling.
This is why The Undertaker should have retired as soon as it was over, even though the match against Brock Lesnar when he finally did lose at WrestleMania 30 wasn't his best. 'The Deadman' was knocked loopy early on in the match which made what should have been an all-time great contest against the 'Beast Incarnate,' a bit of a letdown.
What came after was even more disappointing though, as Taker clearly wanted to make good on the match by continuing to perform for years afterward. It was clear that the legend was not in the same place physically or mentally to be able to put in the same performance that he was clearly chasing from his previous matches.
At least 'The Phenom' did finally call it a day after defeating AJ Styles in a Boneyard match during the pandemic, which was enough to finally let The Undertaker character rest in peace.
