10 WWE Lockdown Era Matches That Deserved A Live Crowd

3. Women's WarGames Match (NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2020)

The most recent match on this list: but you can rest assured that it will stand the test of time. Bringing back the War Games concept was a stroke of magic by WWE, and there is no better roster to make the most of the structure than NXT's. This year's event kicked off with the Women's WarGames match; while the men's equivalent was equally fantastic, the opener set the tone for another excellent night of NXT wrestling.

Just look at the star power involved in this match. Every time a new wrestler entered they gave it a new dynamic, and it flowed as calmly to the finish line as a waterfall crashing into jagged rocks. They made everything look like it hurt while being in supreme control (except for Candice LeRae's arm).

Whatever Io Shirai's relationship is with trash cans, she created one more GIFable moment in a memorable 2020 for WWE, which had to be included here. After she jumped off the top of the WarGames structure like an inverted Oscar the Grouch, she was brutally stomped by Dakota Kai (still in her trash can), before being smashed through a ladder bridge to the arena floor by Raquel Gonzalez for the closing pin.
