10 WWE Main Event Feuds That Didn't End At WrestleMania

7. Triple H Vs Batista

An unlikely babyface success story in the ashes of Evolution, Dave Batista's meteoric rise to prominence seemed to stem from the gross incompetence surrounding Randy Orton's booking from the moment he was turfed out of the group in 2004.

After winning the World Title at Summerslam, Orton was ejected the next night for daring to tread on leader Triple H's toes, and with the help of his heavies, 'The Game' regained the gold just one month later and made Randy look like a complete loser in the process.

In that time, Batista was still subservient, but became increasingly more interested in the status of the strap over Hunter's shoulder, as beautifully told by several lingering looks between the duo and some smart-mouth remarks from Big Dave that drew huge responses from the crowd.

With his long-awaited turn coming just weeks before WrestleMania 21, WWE elected to have Triple H lose three pay-per-view main events to 'The Animal' to firmly cement the new World Champion before his roster switch with WWE Champion John Cena.

Following their match at the 'Show of Shows', Batista thwarted 'The Game' at Backlash in April, then again at Vengeance inside Hell in a Cell. Dominant in the war, Dave reaped every benefit of the satisfying feud before his blue brand move.
