10 WWE Main Roster Stars That Could Jump To NXT THIS WEEK

1. Kevin Owens

And if not him, what the sh*t has everything awful taking place on Tuesdays lately been all about?

Kevin Owens' SmackDown sacking was proof when it wasn't remotely needed that WWE can't book babyfaces anymore, just months removed from framing an edition of Monday Night Raw around if hottest-star-in-the-world Becky Lynch would apologise to The Authority in order to get her WrestleMania match back. In both cases, the hero in question was compared to Stone Cold Steve Austin, and in both cases, the outcome didn't remotely mirror how things would have gone for 'The Rattlesnake' had he been placed in that situation.

What's worse for 'KO' is that he'd already dealt with his Shane McMahon problem in kayfabe before his IRL Vince one came back to haunt him. The booking of his character post-SummerSlam reeks of them over-reaching in getting him so over in the first place, unless this recent course change has been to supplant him as the biggest crossover star between NXT and the main roster just in time for the black-and-gold brand's USA debut.

Dream Survivor Series matches are already being booked, not least to try and make something good from something otherwise very very bad. Owens' cryptic tweet regarding his former home actively fuelled the discussion and the hope - only further disappointment awaits if he doesn't ultimately make the jump.
