Between 7 December 2011 and 11 July 2013 Roman Reigns competed in 16 matches in NXT, and only six were televised. It is telling that the most successful NXT alumni on the main roster barely spent any time there.

The Shield had just two matches in developmental before their big break on the main roster as the best stable WWE had unleashed on wrestling in a long time. Debuting during the main event at Survivor Series 2012, decimating Ryback with the now iconic triple powerbomb, the trio quickly rose to the top of the main roster.

While WWE Creative’s (read: Vince McMahon’s) handling of Reigns has been questionable at times, his collection of gold is impressive. He is a Grand Slam Champion, having held the WWE, Universal, Intercontinental, United States, and Tag Team Championships, as well as winning the 2015 Royal Rumble. In his time on the main roster, for better and worse, the Big Dog has been one of the main guys to represent the WWE product - and his title reigns are clear evidence of his position as a company ambassador.

To this success, a heel turn and Paul Heyman have been added, finally winning fans over and making Roman Reigns the complete sports entertainment package.
