10 WWE Matches So Goofy They're Actually Great

5. Province Of Quebec Match (Raw 13/9/93)

In the long tradition of Canadians bending things to suit their foreign whims -- see also Lance Storm's renamed WCW titles -- a 1993 episode of Raw brought us the first match ever contested under Province of Quebec Rules.

The Quebecers sought to capture the tag team titles from the Steiner Brothers by forcing them to wrestle under a litany of rules, including no top rope maneuvers, no piledrivers, no tossing opponents over the top rope, and the titles changing hands on a DQ.

So you had Scott Steiner trying to keep his brother from accidentally breaking the rules while the Canadians took advantage. Factor in Bobby Heenan's excellent commentary and a cameo from Johnny Polo, and you had the makings of a match as goofy as it was entertaining.

Naturally, Jacques and Pierre triumphed thanks to their peculiar rules when Scott Steiner hit Jacques with a hockey stick.

Because Canada.
