It may seem funny to say out loud but The Undertaker had been in WWE for 17 years prior to the 2007 Royal Rumble and had never won the prestigious battle royal. He had accomplished every other feat, winning championships and squaring off with the most monstrous of competitors in unique gimmick matches - yet that one victory eluded him.

In San Antonio, he rectifed that problem.

The Phenom entered the match at the coveted No. 30 position and proceeded to last until the final two competitors. The other? Hometown hero Shawn Michaels.

It had been a decade since the two of them had squared off in some of the most iconic matches in WWE history so the idea of them battling for the right to headline WrestleMania was mightily appealing to the fans.

The audience popped heavily as the action started. The all-time greats responded by delivering nine of the most dramatic minutes in Rumble history, culminating with The Phenom dropping The Heartbreak Kid to the arena floor and securing his first victory in the annual battle for supremacy.
