10 WWE Nightmares That Could Come True In 2024

6. Two Unwanted Royal Rumble Winners

Feast your eyes on the image above and then imagine the same scene backstage after The Rock and Charlotte Flair win back-to-back Royal Rumbles this coming January. Both are big stars, so what's the problem? That could be what some fans think about all of this.

Then you've got those who fancy seeing the Rumbles used to build fresher stars.

LA Knight and GUNTHER are outside bets on the men's side, and it isn't impossible that Raquel Rodriguez, Jade Cargill or Tiffany Stratton could win the women's Rumble. All of those sound fresh, not least 'cause they'd be building towards something longer term.

Rocky or Charlotte grabbing wins they don't need might lead to fan rebellion (WWE won't want another Batista at 2014 on their hands), and it's hardly like either needs that sort of moment at this stage in their respective careers anyway.

Surprise us, WWE. The Rock can always go after gold just because he's The Rock.
