8. Shawn Michaels

I know what youre thinking, HBK, really? Yes, really. Since being retired in 2010, Shawn has made sporadic appearances on WWE televison. (Most recently to make Triple H interesting.) Shawn is no doubt remembered for many things, being the first Grand Slam champion, incredible matches, being the innovator of specific match types and his 2002 return to the ring. While Shawn has had God in his corner in real life (and in one Backlash PPV match) Shawn can also be remembered for one other major thing; Having Vince by the balls in the 1990s. Arguably the greatest in-ring talent ever, Shawn had a massive ego in the 90s and it was obvious. While that sold tickets and put butts in seats worldwide, it wasnt great for the rest of the locker room. If you believe stories on the internet told by actual former wrestlers and others Shawn could come out looking all types of ways. The same is said about any other talent, but it is more important for the guys on top. Shawn is held under a microscope because he (in plenty of interviews including his most recent DVD release) was the golden child and has his way often. Other than that I get the feeling that any day now, Shawn will come out to tell Triple H that he has to hang it up. Shawn will try to be the good guy and say our time has come and gone, you ended an era at Wrestlemania 28. Pffft, of course HHH didnt. But this to me would lead to a feud where Shawn comes out of retirement to retire his best friend. Im not saying it is good or warranted, but Triple H tried to end an era, tried to say he was walking away after fighting Brock and teased a retirement that didnt come. Once again HBK would have to come to his proteges aid. Shawn, dont have another match, please. Stay retired and for a little while longer, stay off of WWE tv, so youre returns will be more impactful.
