Retribution (or RETRIBUTION if you're feeling shouty) turned out to be one of the worst WWE ideas born during the pandemic. The renegade group held the company to ransom by claiming they didn't care about money or contracts, then...instantly calmed down as soon as they got money and contracts. It made the whole thing seem daft.

Slapjack was supposed to be a scrappy loose cannon, but he was more like Scrappy Doo than Brian Pillman. At Hell In A Cell 2020, he went up against Bobby Lashley for the United States Title. Were Retribution about to hold a secondary championship hostage?! No, no they weren't - Bob beat Slappy in less than four minutes.

It was basically a squash.

Vince McMahon was bad for counterproductive, puzzling booking towards the end of his run. Matches like this helped nobody! Lashley didn't need a win over Slapjack, and the supposedly-dangerous rebel was made to look totally redundant for no reason whatsoever.
