10 WWE PPV Matches That Prove Vince McMahon Lost It

7. Drew McIntyre vs. Madcap Moss (Elimination Chamber 2022)

Drew McIntyre's heel turn and feud with CM Punk has been a blessing for the Scot. He experienced peak popularity as a babyface at the worst time ever (the closed door days), but gamely soldiered on and did retain support from fans because his performances were just that great. Even so, WWE started giving him nothing to work with.

There's a Scottish slang phrase that sums it up: WWE gave Drew "hee haw" (sod all!).

In 2022, McIntyre got ready for a WrestleMania 38 battle vs. Happy Corbin that nobody wanted by wrestling Madcap Moss at Elimination Chamber in another match no-one fancied. The whole thing appeared to be a complete mismatch as soon as the bout's graphic flashed up on screen. The resultant nine-minute brawl was a worse joke than one of Madcap's gags.

The 'Falls Count Anywhere' add-on didn't change a thing. To their credit, Drew and Moss bumped around hoping to make something out of nothing, but they were living through the worst of McMahon monotony. Again, no wonder Trips bumped stuff like this off PLE cards.
