From _NL92_: Should WWE make PPV's, or just different shows, look different to each other to prevent presentation looking stale/boring?
Yes they should. There was a report earlier this week saying that WWE was considering an event at a beach similar to WCW's Bash at the Beach 1995. It would be a completely different environment from what fans are used to and they could do some cool stuff to make it feel special. A lot of the PPV sets these days are really bland and boring. They used to spend more money to make them stand out. These days they just stick a PPV logo out there as if that is some creative thing. The advantage to keeping things the same is that it's familiar to the audience and WWE probably likes keeping things simple. However, there are a lot of good reasons to change things up a bit too, so hopefully WWE is a bit more creative in that area down the line. For an event like SummerSlam in a few weeks, they should spend a bit more money to make it look nicer.
