From @dridgeo11: What does WWE do when the luster of the special stars runs out? All that's left that would be surprising is Austin.
It's a good question. The simple answer is that you have to rely on the younger guys that are being built up as the future stars. The guys like Reigns, Rollins, Ambrose and Wyatt are the four men that have been on the main roster for less than three years and are likely the four guys that WWE will be building around for the next decade. Look at the older guys that WWE brings back. The Undertaker is 50 this year, Sting is 55, The Rock is in his mid-40s and people still talk about Steve Austin coming back even though he hasn't wrestled in 12 years. These guys can't do it forever. That's why fans need to be more accepting of Reigns because he's going to be around for a while. It's all about having balance. It's fine to bring back the legends once in a while for the big shows, but that's not going to be an option in five years. Push the guys you have now because you're going to need them. It's as simple as that.
