It would work only if WWE made a point to book the women in their company better. When they are only given about five minutes of TV time on Raw and Smackdown, there's really no reason to think that WWE would have a divas MITB briefcase. If there was a change in the philosophy with the divas that allowed them to have longer matches on TV as well as PPV then sure, go for a divas MITB. They can talk about "change" all they want for the divas, but until it actually happens it's hard to believe that WWE would introduce MITB for the ladies. The booking of the divas in WWE is one of the worst things about the company right now. They don't really invest a lot of time in them and women are presented as heels/faces in such a terrible way that most fans have no idea who they should be cheering for from week to week. Long term it would be nice if something like a divas MITB were to take place, but it sure doesn't feel like anything like that will happen any time soon.
