From @MickieSteeler74: Do you think Roman Reigns' hernia injury stunted his momentum to the top with the fans and that if he didn't have that injury he would get a much different reaction from the fans than he currently has gotten?
That's a good question because there's a feeling among some fans that maybe that surgery he had in the fall hurt him, but I don't think it's that big of an issue. While it kept him out of action a few months, it may have done more damage if he was out there winning even more matches than he currently does. Think about Survivor Series for example. If he was healthy then he likely would have been in that main event tag match. It would have probably been him that got the decisive pinfall after Sting interfered rather than Dolph Ziggler. It's unlikely that fans would have liked him more if he got another big win. It might make them hate him. What's hurting Reigns is that fans love the guys like Bryan and Ziggler that management doesn't want to push as much as they do Reigns, so it's led to a situation where it's tough for Reigns to get all of the fans support. Maybe WWE is making a mistake by pushing Reigns like this. We won't know until WrestleMania or the months that follow. It's a Vince McMahon decision and he's sticking with it.
