10 WWE Rematches Absolutely Nobody Wanted To See

2. Randy Orton Vs. Bray Wyatt

It should come as no surprise that two of the least dynamic in-ring performers on the WWE roster were responsible for one of the lamest rematches, but their follow-up matches really had little to do with chop blocks and chinlocks.

Orton and Wyatt contested the brutally boring main event of No Mercy 2016, a SmackDown Live! brand-exclusive pay-per-view that actually opened with the WWE Title match in order to try and keep viewers from switching to the presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Their unlikely alliance in the aftermath of this match should have created a tangible spark between the pair after Royal Rumble and WWE Title victories respectively, but their match at the 'Show of Shows' failed hard.

Overwhelmed by Wyatt silliness, the contest was built around Bray summoning projections of insects on to the canvas. Shockingly, this didn't remotely phase Orton, who polished the 'Eater of Worlds' off with an RKO after just under 11 silent minutes.

Their House of Horrors feud-ender at April's Payback pay-per-view was WWE's worst everything of the year. A pitiful outside broadcast, some hokey acting, and an in-ring sequence that rendered a listless scrap inside Bray's dirty house utterly pointless, the House of Horrors was an exhibition of the company's worst excesses.
