10 WWE Rematches Absolutely Nobody Wanted To See

3. The Undertaker Vs. Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker had traded the WWE Title in November and December 1991 as an experiment to see if the company could promote miniature pay-per-views outside of their structured formula.

With 'This Tuesday In Texas', their Survivor Series rematch headlined a passable card six days removed from the traditional November show where 'The Deadman' had surprisingly dethroned 'The Hulkster'.

11 years and countless injuries later, the pair were unexpectedly brought back together following Hulk Hogan's remarkable return to the company in 2002.

Drunk on nostalgia, crowd reactions convinced WWE management that Hulk was worthy of a small run with the title, but his Judgment Day defence against his former rival highlighted exactly why his stint couldn't be protracted.

Though fans were hot for Hogan's entrance and opening salvo (as they had been in arenas everywhere), the transparent lack of quality in his matches was problematic following the initial buzz.

As their contest dragged on, both looked utterly exhausted, and required Vince McMahon's interference as a distraction piece for their bodged finish.

After Undertaker kicked out of Hogan's Legdrop and Hulk survived a laboured Chokeslam (after not giving his opponent much purchase on his way up), 'Taker finished the job with a wicked chairshot and second chokeslam for an anticlimactic victory.
