6. Becky Lynch Hints At Taking Her Ball Home
As 2019 was drawing to a close, Becky Lynch was undoubtedly the biggest star in all of WWE.
After besting Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 35, "The Man" had held onto her Raw Women's Championship ever since, seeing off the likes of Lacey Evans, Sasha Banks, Natalya, "The Queen" and Asuka throughout her dominant reign.
Yet as December 30 reared its head, it appeared the confident Irish star wasn't completely happy with life in Vince McMahon's company and the fact that she wasn't immediately being given what she wanted. So, after she was finally given the match she desired with Asuka at the 2020 Royal Rumble event, Lynch took to Twitter to reveal that it was amazing what WWE would give the Champ when she reminded them that her contract was coming up soon.
Despite clearly being designed to make fans wonder whether Lynch would actually take her ball and go home at the end of her contract if she wasn't treated right, few people honestly believed that WWE would allow one of their key faces to wander on over to another company at the end of her current deal.
As expected, Lynch has stayed put in WWE. Though she hasn't been seen bumping in a ring since April, with the star announcing her pregnancy a month later and taking time off to bring herself and Seth Rollins' first child into the world.
