10 WWE Stars In Desperate Need Of A Turn

7. Dean Ambrose

There is a lot to admire about Dean Ambrose's face character - especially since he's a natural heel.

His modern day Terry Funk routine proves that he is a keen student of the game. His foolhardy, he-doesn't-know-when-he's-down shtick is naturally endearing, and what's more, it was ripe for exploitation having been dormant in the mainstream for years.

That being said, why not let him loose and allow him to operate within the role to which he's best suited? Ambrose seems a laconic fellow in real life, but his work on the Indy circuit is proof that he's at his best when he's at his nastiest. And while he's doing well enough as a babyface champion, it may not be too soon to turn him.

The Rock's heel turn at Survivor Series 1998 felt much more like a betrayal than most because the people were just starting to accept him as their own. A similarly hasty change of heart may just put Ambrose over the top as one of the company's top heels, and it may breathe new life into his rivalry with Seth Rollins, who only just missed the cut from this list himself - fans are evidently desperate to cheer for him, and not just at the expense of Roman Reigns.
