10 WWE Stars In Desperate Need Of A Turn
2. Brock Lesnar
Lesnar's upcoming UFC fight against Mark Hunt at UFC 200 can work in WWE's favour, whether it ends in victory, defeat, or a draw.
A draw would just maintain the status quo, while slightly augmenting his status as a killing machine, the lustre of which has faded since he suplexed John Cena to oblivion at SummerSlam 2014.
A win would see him recover the unprecedented aura with which he debuted in 2012, enabling Paul Heyman to infuse his awesome promos with the wonderfully effective repetition technique he so entertainingly ran into the ground during Lesnar's post-streak 'Conqueror' phase.
A loss, however, would give the character the storyline motivation he's arguably never actually had since returning to wrestling. If he was to incur a loss via tap-out, he could use what would be deafening chants of 'YOU TAPPED OUT!' to justify a maiming spree.
It isn't entirely clear how we're meant to be receiving Lesnar at present. He was low-blowed all over the place by the Undertaker in their autumn programme, but his feud with Ambrose seemed to indicate that he was veering towards tweener status.
In any event, he undoubtedly operates best as a full-blown heel, and there several ways WWE can run with his character once the dust settles in Las Vegas.
