1. CM Punk Promises To Make The WWE Better For Everyone
"I feel I have a responsibility to the younger wrestlers on the roster the ones who aren't signed yet, and the future of pro wrestling as a whole to help make this place better and to change this place. I certainly can't change it by sitting on my couch in Chicago." - CM Punk, Best in the World DVD CM Punk is widely considered one of he best wrestlers in the world. He is also considered one of the biggest hypocrites in WWE history. After his epic pipe bomb promo in June of 2011 and title victory at Money in the Bank, Punk left the WWE by walking out the door with the Championship. Then he returned eight days later, apparently willing to play ball with all bad feelings forgotten. He had a pretty nice recovery line though. He explained to the crowd that he could not improve the WWE from his couch in Chicago and that he had signed a new contract so that he could work towards eliminating all the problems he had griped about on the stage the previous month. Well Punk didn't change too much over his next two years with the company (We're still waiting on those Ice Cream Bars!). He got everything he wanted off screen, but on screen he was still the same wrestler, only with a higher spot on the card. Just not the top spot. That's Cena's spot! Though no one knew it at the time, Punk must have at least been thinking about his exit from the company during his year long WWE Championship reign where he was still the number two wrestler in WWE. His heel run with Paul Heyman as his manager is only remembered for his burial at the hands of the Rock and his extremely distasteful exploitation of both Jerry Lawler's heart attack and Paul Bearers death. And in January of this year he really did walk out the door and return to his couch in Chicago. It seems when he re-signed with WWE in 2011, the only person he improved things for was himself. Well there you have it. Thanks for reading and as always feel free to leave your comments below!
As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG.
I may have a problem!
But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
